State-of-the-Art Leisure Club at The Belfry Hotel and Resort

Elliott Group Constructs a State-of-the-Art Leisure Club at The Belfry Hotel and Resort, Emphasizing Environmental Stewardship and Community Commitment

Elliott Group is proud to announce our ongoing project at The Belfry Hotel and Resort, located in the picturesque countryside near Sutton Coldfield. We are constructing a state-of-the-art Leisure Club amidst the resort’s stunning grounds, a development that underscores our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Our project is registered under the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which assesses and scores our respect for the community, care for the environment, and how we value our workforce. This registration reflects our commitment to not only meeting but exceeding industry standards in these critical areas.

Additionally, The Belfry project is registered as a BREEAM initiative set out to achieve a BREEAM EXCELLENT accreditation. BREEAM promotes the efficient use of resources and encourages circular design principles. This includes the reuse and repurposing of buildings and materials, whilst implementing sustainable Mechanical and Electrical features such as Photovoltaic systems and heat recovery systems, ensuring our project minimises its environmental impact while enhancing sustainability.

We have also integrated the SustainIQ platform into our project. SustainIQ is a comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) monitoring tool that is currently focused on measuring and managing waste. This platform helps us track our progress and ensure we are meeting our sustainability goals effectively.

During the design phase, we employed the Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM). SBEM is a government-approved methodology that calculates the energy requirements for heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting in non-residential buildings. This model allows us to optimise the energy efficiency of the Leisure Club, further reducing its environmental footprint.

Through these initiatives, Elliott Group demonstrates our commitment to sustainable construction practices. By combining advanced methodologies and sustainability standards, we are creating a Leisure Club that not only enhances the beauty of The Belfry’s natural surroundings but also promotes long-term environmental health and community well-being.
