Dairygold

Dairygold awarded Elliott Group, the upgrade and expansion of its existing milk processing facility at Castlefarm Site, Mitchelstown, County Cork, comprising of:

• The construction of a wet process building comprising of two floors, an electrical room and relevant tank based area
• Construction of a dryer building comprising of 3 floors, an electrical room, an MCC room and all associated civil and structural works.

The project is a mixture of Demolition works, the construction of RC Frame, and also a structural steel frame with Infill panels. The project is executed within a live manufacturing facility.

The project is broken into 2 Phases.

• Phase 1 (Wet Process) Extensive Demolition works followed by the construction of an RC Frame building, Rennet tank bund and associated tank plinths.
• Phase 2 (Dry Process) Extensive Demolition works followed by the construction of a Structural Steel Frame, with RC Slabs, precast stairs, blockwork infill panels, new control rooms and changing rooms.
