Our Project
The Belcamp 220kV Substation development comprises the construction of a new highvoltage transmission facility designed to strengthen and futureproof Dublin’s electricity network. Located adjacent to the existing operational Belcamp Substation, the project includes the delivery of a new GIS building, reinforced concrete substructures, structural steel frame, precast concrete wall and roof systems, specialist electrical installations, internal fit-out works, and comprehensive testing and commissioning.
The project also incorporates extensive external works, including underground cable duct networks, cable chambers, storm and foul drainage infrastructure, hardstanding areas, perimeter security works, precast boundary walls, and palisade fencing. Delivered within a live electrical environment, the works require strict compliance with ESB safety and proximity requirements, detailed BIM-led planning, and careful coordination around existing high-voltage assets to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
