Avonpark Retirement Village

Our Project

Avonpark is a long established retirement village comprising 92 residences, including apartment blocks, bungalows, and houses, set within an impressive 30 acre estate just five miles from Bath. Originally founded in the early 1990s on the historic grounds of the former Winsley Sanatorium (established in 1905), the village spans over 79,000 sq.ft. and offers residents a tranquil setting surrounded by formal gardens, meadows, and woodland.

The existing village currently accommodates 69 residents, with redevelopment works underway to modernise facilities and enhance the living environment. The project involves extensive enabling works, demolition of 2 existing blocks, and the construction of 92 new retirement homes with upgraded communal amenities, including a restaurant and dining area. The site presents significant logistical challenges, requiring meticulous planning to ensure minimal disruption to residents and the surrounding landscape.
