Elliott Group is proud to sponsor the 100th running of this historic competition and to be part of such a significant moment in the history of the Dublin Horse Show.
In 1926, Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah, Aga Khan III, donated the Aga Khan Trophy in appreciation of his visits to the Dublin Horse Show and in gratitude to his Irish tutor, Mr Kenny. The first Nations Cup was held that year, with six nations competing and Switzerland claiming the inaugural victory on Irish-bred horses. Ireland secured its first win two years later, in 1928.

Delivered by Elliott Group, the design and build redevelopment has created a new three-level grandstand with capacity for 6,775 spectators, alongside new hospitality, retail and supporting facilities. The new stand increases the overall capacity of the Laya Arena for Leinster Rugby fixtures to 20,600.
From the demolition of the original stand through construction and completion, its delivery was a genuinely collaborative effort between Elliott Group, the RDS and the wider project team.
Today, it welcomes an international audience to one of Ireland’s most significant sporting events.
