Signature at Hornchurch

Project Overview

Elliott Group delivered Signature at Hornchurch, a purpose-built care community in Essex, transforming a former brownfield car park into a high-quality residential care environment alongside three self-build homes.

Delivered under a JCT Design & Build contract, the development provides 90 bedrooms across residential, nursing, dementia and end-of-life care settings. The scheme has been carefully integrated into its surroundings, retaining mature trees and enhancing the site through new landscaping and biodiversity measures.

Designed to complement the character of Nelmes Way and the historic Ardleigh House, the architecture combines traditional materials with contemporary detailing to create a timeless and welcoming environment.

Construction & Delivery

The project involved the complete regeneration of the site, incorporating piled foundations and a reinforced concrete frame structure. The building is predominantly three storeys in height and features a traditional brick façade, hip-cut roof and dedicated plant zones.

Working closely with the client and design team, Elliott Group successfully delivered a modern care facility that balances operational requirements with resident comfort, wellbeing and quality of life.
