About The Job
The I.T. Support Engineer is the first line of IT support for Elliott Group’s offices and construction sites across Ireland and the UK. The role supports users, devices and core business systems, and carries out the day-to-day IT and information security controls that underpin our ISO 27001-certified Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Location: Office-based at our head office in Cavan, with regular travel to offices and construction sites across Ireland and occasional travel to UK sites. Occasional out-of-hours work (e.g. planned maintenance or urgent incidents) may be required.

- Provide remote and on-site support to users at head office, regional offices and construction sites.
- Build, enrol and deploy devices through Intune/Autopilot to company standards and keep the IT asset register accurate from issue through to return and secure disposal.
- Install and configure approved software on a per-user basis, in line with role-based access and licensing requirements.
- Support and maintain office and site networks, including the standardised wireless network, and mobilise and demobilise IT at construction sites (connectivity, printers and mobile devices).
- Deploy operating system and application patches and scripts, and report on patch compliance.
- Provide training to users on new software and computer equipment, and support security awareness initiatives (e.g. phishing campaigns).
- Organise and schedule upgrades on user devices without disrupting workflow.
- Carry out Joiner, Mover and Leaver tasks, maintaining user accounts, licences and permissions across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Procore, COINS, HammerTech, Autodesk Construction Cloud and Sustain IQ, including timely removal of access for leavers.
- Maintain printer and scanner functionality and liaise with vendors for any further troubleshooting.
- Manage vendor accounts, including telecoms and print, keeping supplier contacts, contracts and account records up to date.
- Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities, and feed these to the IT Manager and Business Analyst.
- Support identity and access security for users, including MFA, FIDO2 security keys and Conditional Access issues.
- Support Microsoft Teams Rooms meeting room equipment.
- Monitor backup jobs and carry out periodic restore tests.
- Document procedures and fixes in the knowledge base so that IT knowledge is shared across the team and not held by a single person.
