Cystic Fibrosis Unit Beaumont Hospital Topping Out: Celebrating Success

Topping Out Ceremony Marks Major Milestone for Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Beaumont Hospital

A major milestone has been reached in the construction of the new Cystic Fibrosis In-Patient Unit at Beaumont Hospital, as Elliott Group, alongside Beaumont Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and the project design team, gathered to celebrate the official topping out. This marks the completion of the structural framework, bringing the much-needed 20-room facility one step closer to serving many patients.

The event was attended by key representatives from the project, including Scott Tallon Walker Architects, Punch Consultant Engineers, Homan O’Brien, O’Reilly Hyland Tierney & Associates, and Linesight. Their expertise is instrumental in delivering this state-of-the-art healthcare facility, which will set a new standard in CF care in Ireland.

Speaking at the event, Darragh Elliott, Managing Director of Elliott Group, highlighted the personal and professional significance of reaching this stage:

“This project holds deep meaning for so many individuals and families. The impact of this unit cannot be overstated—it will be a lifeline for those in need of specialist care. We are honoured to be entrusted with bringing this vision to life and look forward to delivering a completed facility in October. A special thanks to Beaumont Hospital for their continued trust in us, and to the entire project team for their dedication and collaboration in reaching this milestone together.’’

Scheduled for completion before the end of 2025, the new unit will provide single inpatient isolation rooms with en-suite facilities, ensuring the highest levels of infection control and patient care.
