This is a London based role.<\/p>\n<p>The role provides strategic oversight and assurance across Health &amp; Safety, Environmental and Sustainability performance, and Quality, ensuring alignment with company objectives, ISO standards, and client expectations.<\/p>\n<p>A key focus of the role is to embed consistency, strengthen accountability across project teams, and drive continuous improvement through data-led performance, effective systems utilisation, and visible leadership.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain, lead, and continuously improve the company\u2019s HSEQ standards, procedures, and governance frameworks in conjunction with the Directors.<\/li>\n<li>Drive a consistent and effective HSEQ communication strategy, ensuring key messages, learnings, and expectations are embedded across all projects.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership, direction, and performance management to HSEQ Advisors, ensuring high standards of delivery, consistency, and accountability.<\/li>\n<li>Report to the UK Operations Board on HSEQ performance, trends, key risks, and strategic improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the primary point of contact for HSEQ matters in external engagements, including client interfaces, audits, and regulatory interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Continuous Improvement &amp; Best Practice<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and evolve structured Lessons Learned processes, ensuring learnings from incidents and near misses are effectively communicated and embedded.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and enhance company-wide safety standards, ensuring alignment with best practice and operational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Drive excellence, consistency, and governance in the use of core systems:\n<ul>\n<li>Procore \u2013 quality inspections, audits, reporting, and document control<\/li>\n<li>HammerTech \u2013 safety management, inductions, permits, and training tracking<\/li>\n<li>SustainIQ \u2013 environmental performance, ESG reporting, and data integrity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Lead the continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability practices aligned with company ESG objectives, including carbon reduction and resource efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen performance in Considerate Constructors Scheme and wider community engagement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the quality and consistency of preconstruction HSEQ planning and documentation, ensuring robust project mobilisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Health &amp; Safety Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic oversight of Health &amp; Safety performance across all projects, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and all applicable legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective implementation and ongoing assurance of the company\u2019s safety management systems across all sites.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee audit and inspection regimes, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely close-out of actions.<\/li>\n<li>Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li>Intervene where necessary to address high-risk activities and ensure appropriate controls are in place.<\/li>\n<li>Promote a proactive, visible, and engaged safety culture across all levels of the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Environmental &amp; Sustainability Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide leadership and assurance on environmental compliance in line with ISO 14001 and statutory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee implementation and performance of Environmental Management Plans across all projects.<\/li>\n<li>Lead environmental and ESG performance, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Waste management and circular economy initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Energy, fuel, and water consumption<\/li>\n<li>Carbon emissions and reduction strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely environmental reporting through SustainIQ, with a focus on data quality and audit readiness.<\/li>\n<li>Drive initiatives aligned with the company\u2019s ESG strategy and client requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain oversight of environmental risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Oversight<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide oversight of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001.<\/li>\n<li>Drive improvement in the quality and integrity of inspections and records within Procore, ensuring:\n<ul>\n<li>Inspections reflect actual site activities<\/li>\n<li>Records are complete, evidenced, and signed appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Issues are tracked through to close-out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Identify trends and recurring issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.<\/li>\n<li>Promote a culture of continuous improvement in delivery standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People, Training &amp; Competency<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the development and competency of HSEQ personnel across the business.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure structured and consistent delivery of HSEQ training programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Support site teams through coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure workforce competency requirements are defined, monitored, and maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Systems, Reporting &amp; Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure consistent and effective use of core systems:\n<ul>\n<li>Procore for inspections, audits, and quality assurance<\/li>\n<li>HammerTech for site safety management and compliance<\/li>\n<li>SustainIQ for ESG and environmental reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Drive a data-led approach to HSEQ performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee preparation HSEQ reports, ensuring clear visibility of performance and risk.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure audit readiness across all projects and systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Governance &amp; General<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and company policies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain oversight of HSEQ documentation, policies, and procedures, ensuring they remain current and effective.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and contribute to senior management and project meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Support project teams in integrating HSEQ requirements into planning and delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake any additional duties as required by the Senior Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ISO Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate in full compliance with Elliott Group\u2019s Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).<\/li>\n<li>Ensure alignment between operational delivery and documented procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to achieving company objectives and HSEQ KPIs.<\/li>\n<li>Drive continuous improvement through audits, corrective actions, and system enhancements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure stakeholder requirements are understood and effectively delivered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant degree or HND in Health &amp; Safety, Environmental, or Construction-related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 10 years\u2019 experience within the construction industry, including experience in a senior HSEQ role.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of managing Health &amp; Safety performance across multiple projects within a main contractor environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading incident investigations, audits, and driving corrective actions to closure.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to influence and support site management teams to achieve high standards of HSEQ compliance and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Experience overseeing site audits and inspection regimes, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely close-out of actions.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in environmental management, including compliance, monitoring, and reporting of key metrics (waste, energy, water).<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership experience, including managing, mentoring, and developing HSEQ personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and reporting skills, including experience presenting to senior management and clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong working knowledge and practical experience of Procore, including inspections, audits, reporting, and document control.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using HammerTech or similar safety management systems for inductions, permits, and compliance tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in environmental and ESG data management
